happy friday

sometimes i walk out of a store and feel giddy with my purchase. this happened just yesterday as i stopped into uo for a quick 15 minute look through before i had to meet friends for dinner. usually stopping in is uber dangerous as i rarely walk out empty handed and yesterday was no different! i got the sweetest pair of oxfords (which has been on my shopping list for awhile now).

today my decision was confirmed when i went to the urban site and saw that these are listed as "online only, top rated"AND way more expensive than what i got them for! love a great deal.

Print Shop

Urban Outfitters just came out with a Print Shop! A community of artists from Society6 are teaming with Urban to get beautiful art pieces out into the world via laptops and ipods :)

I love love how they look and I think these would make such cools gifts!

I have been on the hunt for a bicycle for a couple of years now without much luck. Browsing through Craigslist, bike shops, and even eyeing parked bikes along the road I have yet to come across THE ONE. Well today I have! These beauties are what I have been dreaming about since childhood!

Public Bikes are joining the bike movement all across the world and will launch their collection in April! One lucky winner will win one of these babies if they enter they essay contest (oh believe me I plan to!) Even if I don't win I will go check out their test site just so I can snap a photo with one :)

holidaze

merry christmas and happy new year! i know, i know, i missed the boat already... there are so many bloggers out there who somehow manage to update everyday, take care of their kids, and create beautiful designs but i don't know how they manage to do it?!? over the holidays i visited my family in iowa and found my cutie patootie neice all grown up and boy is she a handful..not because she misbehaves (she is actually the sweetest of babies) but because she is constantly on the go! the thought of even trying to upload photos and write an entry seemed impossible.

to my sister and all mothers of the world. i am constantly reminded you are a m a z i n g.

had a great time as usual in iowa. it snowed. we ate. we played. we shopped. twas lovely.
one of the best things about iowa are all the great flea markets everywhere! my sister has loaded up her house with beautiful furniture that i consider a serious steal! here are some of my smaller flea market finds that i could lug back to nyc.

3rd Ward Craft Fair

My friend Pink Mist Industry had a table at the 3rd Ward Craft Fair in Brooklyn this Saturday so I stopped by for a visit to show some support and scope out other wonderful artists in the area. Boy were there a lot! I wish I could have stayed for some of the workshops and tutorials. Check out more photos here.

Pink Mist Industry has beautiful hand embroidered cards and artworks. It is delicate but at the same time very funny and edgy.



i ooohed and ahhhed over almost every piece at diament design's table. she has a variety of vintage + handmade but all equally lovely!

threadless

if you haven't heard of threadless it is a great place to buy funny/cool tees and hoodies. i have had a gift certificate for awhile now and i finally got to use it this week (they were having a thanksgiving day sale).

i finally decided on this hoodie to keep me warm this winter. i love it!
